Mr. Buckingham received his B.S. in wildlife biology from University of Portland. He conducted research on native Oregon bird species for two years before starting his science education path. He worked at outdoor school with OMSI for two years as a science teacher and then received his MST and MEd from Portland State University in 2013. Afterwards, he traveled throughout Thailand and Nepal teaching physics to public high school students.

 

Mr. Buckingham currently works as a research scientist with the Environmental Science and Management department at PSU. He studies the effect of urbanization on migrating lizards and frogs. This is Mr. Buckingham's fifth year at BHS teaching chemistry and AP biology! He also coaches for the Dam Beavers - dragon boat team
